For those new to magnetic levitation, tapping into the upward repulsion force of the base requires a few attempts.
STEP 1: Place the base on a level, non-magnetic surface, and connect the power cable and adapter to the base and outlet.
STEP 2: Hold the light bulb firmly with both hands, 10cm above the base, and lower it until it's just 2cm from the base.
STEP 3: Let go—if the bulb attaches to the base, start again from step 2. If it stays in place, congratulations!
